Seven hospital patient deaths relating to coronavirus have been recorded on Teesside making it the second highest peak in the past week.
Updated NHS figures released on Sunday afternoon revealed that all seven fatalities were recorded at North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust, which runs the University Hospital of North Tees in Stockton.
Two deaths happened on Saturday and three on Friday.
The other two occurred on Thursday and Wednesday.
