SAPOL – Pursuit and car fire

A man has been arrested following a brief pursuit in the northern suburbs today.

About 10.45am Wednesday 13 January police were called to Nemesis Court in Buckland Park after reports a man had entered a rural property.

The reporting person called police and kept observations on the man who left the street in a white Holden station wagon.

Police raced to the area and spotted the car on Carmelo Road where a patrol activated their emergency lights in an attempt to stop the car. The Holden refused to stop and a police commenced a short pursuit before it was terminated due to safety reasons as the car turned onto Port Wakefield Road.

The car was spotted again by patrols on Waterloo Corner Road, Edinburgh Road, West Avenue then Purling Avenue…
