McLaren Vale crash: Teenager killed in head-on crash south of Adelaide

A teenager has died in a head-on crash between two cars south of Adelaide overnight.

The 19-year-old woman was a passenger in a Mazda that collided head-on with a Mitsubishi ute in McLaren Vale on Wednesday night.

Emergency services were called to the crash at the intersection of Main Road and Malpas Road just after 10pm.

The Banksia Park woman died at the scene.

The driver of the Mazda and three other passengers were taken to hospital for treatment.

Their injuries are not considered life-threatening.

Three people inside the Mitsubishi were also taken to hospital for treatment.

Major Crash officers are now investigating the crash.
