Ken Hinkley signs contract extension with Port

Port Adelaide coach Ken Hinkley has signed a two-year contract extension with the AFL club.

The new deal will extend the 54-year-old’s reign at the Power to the end of the 2023 season, marking 11 years in the job.

Last year, Hinkley led Port to the minor premiership, then a preliminary final, which they lost to eventual premiers Richmond by six points.

Hinkley, who was first appointed Port’s senior coach in October 2012, has a year left to serve on his existing contract.
