Hot market boosts Adelaide’s auction clearance rate

Adelaide recorded an auction clearance rate of 67.1 per cent in the December quarter, a new CoreLogic report reveals.
Auctions are proving to be a more successful way to sell Adelaide property now than they were a year ago, new figures reveal.
The capital city’s clearance rate reached 67.1 per cent on 1014 auctions held in the three months to December 2020, according to CoreLogic’s latest Quarterly Auction Market Review.
It was up on the 57.4 per cent clearance rate recorded on 1385 auctions held in the December 2019 quarter.
Harcourts Packham Property director and auctioneer James Packham said fierce competition for limited properties on the market was partially responsible for the higher clearance rate.
