A stalwart of most Australian fridges, the humble choccy milk is a much-loved household favourite.

But what happens if you make it not-so family friendly?

That’s the question one Adelaide brewery has asked – and answered.

Sparkke Change Beverage Company has launched a Chocolate Milkshake Stout – aptly named the ‘Better Lait Than Never’ – for choccy milk enthusiasts looking for something a little more adult.

The beer’s creamy flavour comes from the addition of lactose and higher mash conditions.

“Abhorrent” behavior detected on Northern Connector

Police are warning dangerous drivers that there will be a no-tolerance approach to speeding as an alarming number of motorists were caught recklessly ignoring speed limits during Operation Northern Connector across August , September and October.

There were 2,134 drivers detected for speed offences on the Northern Connector between Dry Creek and Waterloo corner during the 50 days of the operation, with one matter still under investigation involving a vehicle detected travelling at 209kph.

Other detections were as follows:

  • 2,098 drivers detected speeding up to 29 kph over the limit.
  • 24 drivers detected speeding between 30 and 44 kph over the limit.
  • 12 drivers were detected speeding 45 kph or more over the limit.

Wrecked Oceanlinx generator to stay put offshore at Carrickalinga as partial removal is delayed

Removal of a wrecked wave energy generator stranded off a popular South Australian seaside holiday town has been delayed yet again, the local ratepayers group has said, six years after the project was sunk.

The 3,000-tonne structure was being towed from Port Adelaide to Port MacDonnell in March 2014 when it started listing due to damaged air bags.

An effort was made to tow it to shallow water but the concrete and reinforced steel structure was jettisoned about 1.5 kilometres off the popular holiday destination of Carrickalinga.
