Buyers and sellers embrace online auctions amid SA’s latest COVID-19 lockdown and restrictions

Rapidly changing coronavirus restrictions last week made for a messy auction weekend, but that didn’t deter keen buyers and sellers.

With the announcement of a statewide lockdown on Wednesday forcing weekend auctions to be either cancelled, rescheduled or held online, then the ‘stay at home’ directive lifted almost as quickly as it was enforced, the hybrid auction model was once again put in place.
